Wallpaper at the 2010 Mix Festival

Close up of tennis wallpaper with words 'Love All'Art in the Park were asked by Southwark Council to make some artwork decor for the Mix Festival, as part of our annual S.L.A (Service Level Agreement). We decided on a wallpaper theme to link in with the "Wonderful Wallpaper" exhibition at the Cuming Museum.

The wallpaper pieces were hung from trees and acted as signage for various areas and activities at the festival. We chose a different symbol/ image for each area, lead artist Jill Newman transformed the Art in the Park studio into a "Wallpaper factory" and volunteers were invited to come along and try out techniques such as stenciling and block-printing.
