Mosaic Summer Madness

16th-19th August 2010, 10:30-15:30

Ages: 13-18

Designing and making mosaic panels suitable to be used in a garden or indoors – working from ideas, phrases, and poems by the young people.

Flag Design

Flag Making Workshop

23rd - 26th August 2010, 10:30 - 13:00

Ages: 11-16

Participants will design and create flags which can be displayed on the hills outside the Art in the Park studio and be visible to all those visiting the playground and water feature during the summer. Activities include observation drawing, using acrylic paints and design.

Recycled Fashion

Recycled Fashion

31st August - 3rd September 2010, 10:30-13:00

Ages: 5-10

Course over four days exploring different areas of recycled fashion. Taking participants through a  design process with a different technique each day. Techniques as follows:

  • Simple screen printing on recycled fabrics
  • Creating accessories such as belts out of unusual materials such as inner tubes
  • Recycled jewellery using found objects
  • Make a tote bag using woven plastic bags or experimental printing onto recycled plastics
