Slab Building with Clay
Slab building with clay opens an endless line of possibilities. With a few basic tips from an expert this is a skill that you could easily take and develop further in your own time.
Course overview:
You will learn how to produce slabs from clay and use them to build and construct pottery.
We will look at the various ways to texture and treat the clay surface, spend some time experimenting this. Then explore the possibilities of using a template to realise a sketch of an object either functional or sculptural.
Finally we will put all this together and produce individual ceramic pieces.
