Mosaics

A chance to create a piece of mosaic or decorate an object in mosaic.

Course Overview:

This will be a two day course for anyone who wants to make a piece of work in mosaic. This could be a mirror frame, a splash back for a kitchen or bathroom or a piece of mosaic for the garden in 2D or 3D - just some examples of what participants can make.

Participants can either bring an object to cover in mosaic or we can supply a board to work on - please let me know what you would like supplied in advance if you have a specific request.

We will be using the direct method of mosaic but it anyone wants to try working in reverse or learn about casting this may be possible.

It could be a good time to make a small garden table or a mosaic planter. If you want to make a larger piece I can get you started and explain all the processes and you can always book for one extra day later on to learn about grouting and completing the work.

Course fee:

£160 per weekend OR

£80 per day including materials (up to a reasonable amount - can buy extra from us if you are making a larger piece)

A 10% discount is available on 2 or more bookings.

Additional Information:

Light refreshments will be provided though there will be a 1 hour break for lunch - you can either bring your own packed lunch or go to the Park Life Cafe just next door, more on the surrounding area.
